Following the launch of Kgotla Hong Kong Limited on 6 May 2026, we were honoured to attend InvestHK’s International and Mainland Businesses Welcome Reception on 25 June. It was a meaningful moment as we begin a new chapter in the Asia-Pacific region.

We feel deeply humbled by the welcome extended by Mr John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, and Ms Alpha Lau, Director-General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK. To be welcomed alongside fellow businesses establishing and growing their presence in Hong Kong gave us a strong sense of connection and possibility.
Our purpose is to help people solve problems together through dialogue. With our Hong Kong company, we are bringing the Kgotla process and the spirit of Ubuntu into conversation with Confucian ideas about respect, relationships and harmony.

For us, Ubuntu expresses the importance of our shared humanity and responsibility towards one another. In developing our approach in Asia-Pacific, we also draw inspiration from Confucian traditions that value thoughtful conduct, mutual respect and social harmony. These ideas inform how we bring people together: listening carefully, making room for different perspectives and working towards solutions that people can support together.
Harmony, in our practice, leaves space for honest disagreement. Progress begins when people can speak openly about difficult issues while maintaining respect for one another. The Kgotla process gives that conversation structure and helps participants move towards shared understanding and practical action.

Hong Kong offers a meaningful home for this work, connecting people, cultures and businesses across the region and beyond. We look forward to building relationships here and contributing through dialogue that helps organisations and communities address the challenges they face.
Our sincere thanks to Mr John Lee, Ms Alpha Lau and the InvestHK team for this generous welcome. We begin this chapter with gratitude, humility and a commitment to contributing to our new home.
